Roberto Chavez is a graduate from the
Art Center College of Design | BA Photography & Imaging,
His ability to capture unique images rooted on his multifaceted upbringing has taking him to editorial, commercial, journalism and fashion world across the globe.
Roberto Chávez is an internationally recognized photographer and creative director whose work bridges fine art, education, and civic engagement.
As Chief Creative Art Director of 562CREATIVES Advertising & Design Firm, he has led a wide range of visual campaigns and artistic initiatives, establishing a reputation for innovation in both commercial and cultural spaces.
His photographic practice—spanning fashion, portraiture, and black-and-white fine art—is distinguished by its evocative, poetic sensibility and has been exhibited and recognized internationally.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from ArtCenter College of Design and a Master degree in Education with an emphasis in Higher Education and Curriculum Development from Ashford University.
Roberto Chávez has made significant contributions to Arts and Education as an Adjunct Professor at Rio Hondo College, where he has taught photojournalism, Mass Media, and Communications, and Compton College while attaining his licensing.
A dedicated community leader, Chávez has held numerous influential roles, including Vice-President of the Compton College Foundation and Chair of the Hillcrest Festival of Fine Arts. He has also served as Chair of the Whittier Cultural Arts Commission and as a Board Member of the Whittier Historical Society and Museum, leading initiatives in public art cultural programming, and fundraising in the City of Whittier.
His contributions have earned him multiple honors, including Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, City of Whitter, CA, Congressional recognition from Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez and accolades from the International Photography Foundation and Lucie Awards, underscoring his enduring impact on the arts and his community.
